 Our Mission

The Tipton County Commission on Aging has as its mission to promote independence and wellness to seniors, caregivers and their families in Tipton and surrounding counties.

The office of the TCCA is housed on the lower level of the Covington Senior Center. The CSC is located in Covington at the corner of Church Street and College Street just one block east of Highway 51. The TCCA strives to provide services to all seniors in Tipton County through a wide array of programs and services through the Covington Senior Center and from other senior centers and gathering places across the county. Locales in addition to the Covington Center include the Garland and Munford Senior Centers, Dunlap Retirement Center and St. Luke Baptist Church.

The Tipton County Commission on Aging Board of Directors and Staff have worked very diligently to complete a four year strategic plan.  It is a very ambitious plan that will require a team effort to be implemented successfully.   Click here to see how you can help.

TIPTON COUNTY COMMISSION ON AGING GRADUATES
FROM THE PROGRAM FOR NONPROFIT EXCELLENCE

The Alliance for NonProfit Excellence in Memphis launched the Program for Nonprofit Excellence in January 2003 to develop healthy, sustainable organizations with the capacity to learn, grow and use their resources effectively to meet changing community needs.  PNE involves a continuum of strategies to assist nonprofits in identifying and addressing their greatest organizational development needs and building their capacity to become highly effective organizations.
TCCA was one of nine organizations that were chosen for the pilot year of PNE; seven organizations completed the PNE process over a three year period.

"Because of the PNE experience, the Tipton County Commission on Aging is a much more independent agency.  The staff and Board of Directors are truly committed to the mission and excited to move ahead with the confidence that this agency will be influential in creating an environment of independence and wellness for the senior population of Tipton County".
